Your Facilitator:
Hi there, I'm Rachel. I received my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and my B.A. in Psychology from Hampton University, where I also minored in Children and Family Studies. In addition to my academic background, I am a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, which allows me to incorporate mindfulness into my practice. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I believe in a person-centered and strength-based approach to therapy. This means I focus on your unique strengths and tailor our sessions to meet your individual needs. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all deal, and that's what makes life beautiful—we are all different and unique in our own ways. I provide a holistic approach to the counseling journey, combining mindfulness techniques with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you navigate life's challenges. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or navigating life transitions, I am here to support you. I also specialize in working with clients on issues related to family relationships, grief and bereavement, multicultural and diversity issues, intimate and romantic relationships, spirituality, stress, and more. Additionally, I offer support for the LGBTQIA+ community and perinatal support for pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Together, we will work towards your goals and find the best path forward for you. If you're ready to start this beautiful, different, and unique counseling journey, I invite you to reach out. Let's take this step together
