Bus and Community Guidelines

We are sharing space for several hours and entering a public beach together. These guidelines support a trip that is grounded and respectful.

QTPOC-Centered Space

This experience is centered for queer and trans people of color.

Allies are welcome. You are invited to be mindful of the space you are entering, to listen, to observe, and to respect that this space may not be centered around you.

Diversity, Inclusion, and Respect

People of all gender identities, expressions, and lived experiences will be present.

• Use respectful language

• Do not assume identity, pronouns, or experiences

• No harassment, discrimination, or unwanted attention

• Respect personal space and boundaries at all times

Food, Drinks, and Cleanliness

• Snacks and drinks are allowed

• No alcohol on the bus

• Clean up after yourself

• Take all trash with you when exiting

Time and Accountability

• The bus leaves at scheduled times

• If you are late, the group cannot wait

• Respect the time and energy of the full group

Bus Safety

• Follow all instructions from the driver and trip lead

• Remain seated while the bus is moving

• Keep aisles clear and exits accessible

Music and Shared Space

• Use headphones for personal audio

• Shared music will be coordinated

What To Bring With You:

• Food, snacks, and plenty of water
• Cooler for drinks
• Beach umbrella or shade canopy
• Chairs, towels, or blankets
• Sunscreen, hat, and extra layers
• Beach games such as frisbee or volleyball
• Trash bags for packing out waste

This is a bring-your-own adventure!

Beach Expectations

You are free to move through the day in the way that feels right for you.

• You do not need to stay with the group

• You are welcome to connect, or to spend time on your own

• Honor your own boundaries and the boundaries of others

This is a public space. Safety and solidarity matter.
